Search Engine Optimisation Posted: Thu, 27 Mar 2008 - 13:20 Tags: SEO, website design, e-commerce, internet user friendly, improve rankings, improve website, e-brochure, internet advertising Search Engine Optimisation; running a campaign via the inernet; e-commerce; better web site design

Search Engine Optimisation, or SEO to use its acronym, sounds grand but what does it mean to the average business?

To put it simply, its' about making your website work harder for you achieveing those all important 'hits' that you want to turn into either enquiries or sales. For some businesses their website is a window into their company and gives the browser an opportunity to see what you do and how you do it, but the majority of your revenue is generated away from the inernet. For others their website is their sole sales and marketing avenue and depnd entirely on revenue being generated via the inernet. Which ever end of the spectrum you are at; or somewhere in between, making your website work harder for you is a sound investment.

Invariably people searching the internet have a need and in their search engine, will enter keywords they think will return companies or businesses which match those keywords. You will also get the sponsored links; which companies pay a lot of money to be there, but have you ever wondered why some companies come in the top10? It is usually done through optimising their website, so that it responds to the keywords input by the potential customer.

So, if you want your business and your website to respond to those all important searches, then you need to optimise, not advertise. Why not call our award winning web design team to see how you business could move forward either with a new website or let us optimise your existing one - it really works.
